Andrographis Paniculata – også kaldet indisk echinacea – er en opretstående et-årig plante, der er hjemmehørende i Indien, Kina og Sydøstasien.
Urten er primært blevet anvendt mod leverlidelser og til at nedsætte feber i den traditionelle indiske og kinesiske medicin. Desuden er den kendt for sine bitre, toniske egenskaber.
Andrographis bruges desuden som betændelseshæmmende og immunstimulerende stof. l kliniske forsøg har Andrographis-ekstrakt reduceret varigheden af og symptomerne på forkølelse.
