Alfa-liponsyre giver dig et sundere og længere liv

Ifølge forskerne kan en kaloriefattig forlænge livet. For mange dyrearter gælder det, at et nedsat kalorieindtag kan øge levetiden med op til 30 %. Kaloriefattig kost giver 20-40 % færre kalorier end almindelig kost – med samme mængde vitaminer og næringsstoffer. Men det kræver viljestyrke!

Et forsøg offentliggjort i april 2008 i tidsskriftet Mechanisms of Ageing and Development viste, at alfa-liponsyretilskud kan efterligne virkningen af nedsat kalorieindtag. En gruppe rotter, som ved forsøgets start fik kaloriefattigt foder, blev udsat for ubegrænset foder med tilskud af alfa-liponsyre. Rotterne udviste samme tegn på øget levetid som dem, man ser hos rotter, der får kaloriefattig kost.

Forskerne konkluderede, at ubegrænset adgang til en alfa-liponholdig kost efterligner virkningen af kaloriefattig kost, så levetiden øges. Det er lettere at tage et dagligt alfa-liponsyretilskud end at skære ned til ca. l .200 kalorier pr. dag. MEN: Der er ikke foretaget forsøg med mennesker på netop denne virkning. Mange forsøg tyder på, at en dosis på 600-1.800 mg pr. dag er sikker og har en række sundhedsfremmende egenskaber for kroppen, bl.a. at fremme et sundt blodsukkerniveau hos ældre og fungere som universel antioxidant, idet den er både vand- og fedtopløselig.

Brems aldringen med alfa-liponsyre

Ved en Linus Pauling Institute-konference med titlen Diet and Optimum Health i 2007 var alfa-liponsyre et af de omtalte næringsstoffer. I kliniske forsøg med mennesker og dyr har stoffet vist sig at kunne bremse aldring og fremme kredsløb, immunfunktion og et sundt blodsukkerniveau.

Forsker ved Linus Pauling Institute, dr. Tory Hagen, siger: “Alfa-liponsyre fremmer kroppens grundlæggende forsvarsmekanismer, bl.a. mange af dem, der naturligt forsvinder med alderen. I særdeleshed kan det genoprette glutathion-niveauet og fungere som antioxidant og afgiftningsstof på niveau med unge dyr”. Han tilføjer: “Vores forsøg har vist, at mus, der får tilskud af alfa-liponsyre, har en kognitiv formåen, adfærd og genetisk ekspression af næsten 100 % afgiftning og antioxidante gener, der kan sammenlignes med unge dyr. De lever ikke blot længere, de lever også bedre”.

Alfa-liponsyre til vægttab

I Circulation skrev forskere fra Oregon State University og University of Washington i 2008, at alfa-liponsyretilskud til mus (svarende til en menneske-dosis på ca. 2 g pr. dag) reducerer omfanget af åreforkalkningslæsioner med op til 55 %. Tilskud gav også en næsten 40 % reduktion i vægtøgning og lavere indhold af triglycerider og LDL-kolesterol. Dette forsøg har vist, at dagligt tilskud af alfa-liponsyre kan have potentielle fordele – også for mennesker.

Alfa-liponsyre er et naturligt forekommende næringsstof, der findes i grønne bladgrønsager, kartofler og kød, men i mængder, der ligger langt under, hvad man kan opnå gennem tilskud. Diabetikere bør indtage alfa-liponsyre i doser på 600-1.800 mg pr. dag mod neuropati, grå stær, makulær degeneration eller nefropati. Det anbefales, at man holder øje med blodsukkerniveauet. Bivirkninger selv i disse høje doser er stort set ikke-eksisterende.
